Debbie, The first edition was printed in 1998. That is the edition I have. I think I paid around $40 or so. I can't quite remember. There is only one other edition, this year's. The look of the manual has changed, and is probably a bit "fancier." However, I do not think much of the overall content has changed. I'm sure there are some updates and more ideas, but overall it's probably basically the same. Should you get the second hand one? I haven't seen many of them out there. I'm sure the newer version would have some new information and more ideas, however, if it means having to wait, due to finances, I'd go for the second hand one. I guess it depends on if you want the latest and newest. Jo Dee Nothing takes God by surprise! |

I found it 2nd hand for only $17, which would seem to be a very good price. Which makes me wonder, why? What year was this first written, and how many updated versions are there? Should I just buy it new? How often do these come up second hand? Thanks, Debbie |
